I'm sitting at my kitchen table and looking out into the backyard. It's snowing and accumulating. My sweet family in Oklahoma is dealing with the blizzard as we speak so this little dusting isn't too bad =) The boys are playing well enough to let me mess around on the computer but not well enough to let me focus on school work. So, instead I'll blog ;)
I've had a lot of friends ask me in the past few weeks about the wreath on my front door. I should technically take it down now but I don't have a V-day one yet (weekend project!). Anyway~It's a balloon wreath! I saw the idea online (and I don't remember where but it wasn't my idea!). It was a little more costly then I'd usually spend on something like this (maybe around 15 total?) but it'll last and we'll use it for years!
I started with 6 bags of balloons from walmart (9 dollars for those I think), 2 packs of floral "pins"($2 total) and a straw wreath from the Goodwill ($1)
I took a balloon and a floral pin like this:
Stuck the balloon into the wreath:
And kept going until it was covered!
And the finished product:
Easy and fun! I love it, the boys loved it (well, Thing 1 did, Thing 2 doesn't care yet) and it was a big hit with people we've had over in the past few weeks =)
Okay, off to go play cars with the boys!
